There are myriad opportunities for students to participate
in school activities other than athletics. Older students
can run for Leadership team, and work to lead the student
body in activities and service projects, or qualify to compete
locally on our Academic Bowl teams. Students can participate
in different afterschool clubs: Mad Science, Chess, Test Prep, or Hip-Hop
Our Fall Fair, family Halloween Party/Dance, and Christmas Parade float provide
opportunities for seasonal fun. Information about various activities
can be found in the Events and Activities Guide. We are proud of
our students and thank them for sharing their unique talents with
our school community.
The show must go on, and it certainly does in our drama club! Please visit the
Drama Club website
for information on performances, rehearsals, etc.
Middle School Leadership
The middle school leadership group is active in community service, patriotic endeavors,
and other worthwhile projects. Nine students serve as officers who can lead the club in a positive direction. However,
all members of the middle school are members of the group, and there are many opportunities for students who are not
officers to take on a leadership role.
Sacred Hearts Academic Bowl
The Academic Bowl is a competition where students with academic talents
may mix and share experiences. Participating schools field a team of 7th and 8th graders for the Senior
Division, while the Junior Division consists of 5th and 6th graders. It
is funded through the Gifted and Talented Program for the Haverhill
Grade 8 Yearbook Committee
Eighth grade students use a web-based program to design and produce a glossy, full-color school yearbook that contains
pictures of all students and faculty, as well as candids of school events, daily life, and whatever else the yearbook
committee decides to include. It's a great momento of the school year, and a fun way to look back and "...remember when..."!
